Choose the 1710 for dark substrates: Black glass, dark PET bottles, coloured containers, metallised film – where standard dye-based ink is not visible. Pigment ink delivers a bright, legible code on dark backgrounds.
Choose the 1710 for multi-line printing: Up to 5 lines simultaneously – batch number, expiry date, MRP, shift code, and product ID in a single pass at production line speed.
Choose the 1710 for high-speed lines: Single-line printing at 271 m/min (888 ft/min) – suited to fast beverage, wire and cable, and high-speed FMCG packaging lines.
Consider the Videojet 1650 instead if: Your substrate is standard – clear glass, natural PET, cartons – where contrast is not a challenge. The 1650 uses dye-based ink and offers lower TCO for standard applications.
